Stacked column and Line in one single chart in Power BI Paginated Report

Let's suppose this is our dataset:

db2907_0-1694112261034.png

We need a stacked column with a line representing the aggregation of the values for each column. With only the areas we manage to generate it:

db2907_1-1694112341010.png

However when we add the values column in the series group section we are getting a line for each level present in the chart:

Is it possible to generate this type of charts ? How can we indicate that the line should be present in each column making reference to the total by area?

Do not use lines to join unrelated items. Lines should only be used for temporal continuities.

Hi. This is a basic graphic that we have implemented in PowerBI and that we are trying to implement in paginated reports. What do you mean when you say "Unrelated", the data comes from the same source. We are trying to show the evoulution using the line for a date value in the X axis. What I posted is just an example to simply the question.

You are drawing lines between the A, B and C items.  Those lines make no sense.

That is right. That is exactly our doubt. How can we draw lines just for the total by Area in the same chart. As mentioned in the description when we add the second metric it creates that representation.

Think about the story you want to tell with your data, and then use a different, more appropriate visual to tell that story.

Hello, this is a client request. Even though we've explained to them that this particular chart isn't available in a paginated report, they're keen on migrating the Power BI visualization as closely as possible. Let's see if someone else has a possible solution. Thank you for your responses
