Sharepoint Server Security Propagation to Power BI Report Server

Good morning all,

I want to make embedded PowerBI Report Server on SharePoint Server.
To do this, i use an iframe, so far so good.

My question is, how can i use SharePoint groups in PowerBI Report Server ?

Is it possible to set up an SSO ? That way the rights would be managed only in SharePoint and with a single authentification ?

Thanks a lot for your help

The short answer is that you can't. Sharepoint groups are a sharepoint only construct.

The only way I know of to get this to work is to use AD groups as the building block, then you can add an AD group to a Sharepoint group and give the same group access to a folder in Power BI Report server. Then adding a user to the AD group gives them single sign-on and access to resources in both Sharepoint and PBIRS.
