I have created a report and shared it to several users. When anyone else tries to open this report, Power BI just starts loading indefinitly without any error message. Currently the data model contains no roles, so I don't think this is a data related problem.
Any suggestions what could be the reason for this behaviour.
Hi @Hubert_G , do you use Power BI Service or Report Server? Which datasource you use?
Best,
Kathrin

Hi Kathrin,
we use Power BI Service. The datasource is a small datamodell created directly in Power BI Desktop and based on several SQL Server tables.
Hi @Hubert_G ,
ok which licence do you use?
If you like to share everybody needs a Pro Licence - dosn't matter if the only look or publish reports.
If you are in a Premium Licence only people who like to publish reports need a Pro Licence, for viewing you don't need any further licences.
Best,
Kathrin

Hi Kathrin,
all users have a Power BI Pro License. So that's not the problem. However I will test what happens when the users open PBI directly and try to open the report from shared reports without using the direct link.
If you have recently started exploring Fabric, we'd love to hear how it's going. Your feedback can help with product improvements.
