Is it possible to pass query parameter values (not report parameters) from one rdl file to the query parameters (not report parameters) of another rdl file inside of the url in the Action tab of the first rdl? I want the main rdl file to be able to link to the second one and pass values so user doesn't have to enter them twice. How would the syntax of the url statement look like?
You cannot pass values directly to query parameters, those are internal. But all you have to do is to connect your query parameter to the value of a report parameter. Paginated reports were built this way so that you can connect a single report parameter to multiple queries or create cascading parameter values.
Then you can either use drillthrough action or url parameters to pass the values. If you are using url parameters the exact format depends on whether you are using the Power BI service or the on-prem Report Server as they have slight differences
