We have PBRS connected via DirectQuery/Live to a Tabular SSAS server which in turn gets its data from MSSql via import (not direct query). On the SSAS server, I have a table partition which is processed every 10 minutes. I'm looking for a way to get my PowerBI report to reflect the changes as soon as the table partition is processed. I understand streaming API may be an option but everything is working except I have to manually refresh the PowerBI html page (PBRS embedded) to see the changes.
I'm using the October release and I've tried some of the settings on this page, but I'm not sure I'm on the right path?

Hi @thgood1,
To work around the issue you can utilize the browser auto refresh add-in, eg: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/auto-refresh/ifooldnmmcmlbdennkpdnlnbgbmfalko
Also you can submit a feedback here: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas

Qiuyun,
Thank you for the response, I currently have the dashboard setup on an embedded linux kiosk with a refresh every five minutes (via F5 keystroke automation). There are challenges to that approach:
1) It adds delay since we don't know exactly when the table will finish processing. For our manufacturing operation, this is especially critical at the end of the production shift.
2) The extension triggers a full page reload. This is slow on the kiosk and is much slower than the built-in refresh button within the report server interface.
Connecting PBRS to tabular SSAS seems like the most enterprise-ready deployment, as such, I would like to see better support for the tabular SSAS solution when processing a table.
