We are looking to migrate Oracle Discoverer reports to Power BI. What are clients doing out there? Performance is slow when hitting the 'Live' Oracle EBS tables. Are companies creating some sort of 'Data Warehouse' configuration, where the data would be a day old?
We have done multiple Discover to PowerBI migration projects for Oracle EBS reporting. Contact us at pdash@prisoft.com
We have done migration of Doscoverer EBS reports to PowerBI. Contact pdash@prisoft.com
Business users don’t expect the data dumps, but they need meaningful reports. As you said, it’s little tricky when you are moving over from Discoverer to Power BI, especially for the want of live reporting on Oracle EBS R12. You can consider leveraging parameters feature of Power BI, to mitigate the performance issue.
Consider reviewing Noetix Generator for Microsoft Power BI for a jumpstart on EBS R12 reporting. For a quick overview on it’s capabilities, pl access demo video here.
Thanks!
