All Power BI Reports are failing to render in report server access portal or let me click the three dots to manage after recent update - box simply pops up saying "An error has occurred. Something went wrong. Please try again later."
I recently took over Power BI Report Server upgrades after my team lead left. I navigated to (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/products/power-bi/report-server), chose Advanced download options, and downloaded PowerBIReportServer.exe on the appropriate machine. I ran the January 2025 upgrade as a logged on user with Administrator privileges (not directly "Run as Administrator" on the .exe, if that matters), and performed the upgrade.
After the recommended restart, I browsed to the report server URL and downloaded and installed the adjaced January 2025 Power BI Desktop optimized for Power BI Report Server.
When I went to test functionality per SOP, immediately noticed Power BI Reports will not load or let me click the three dots to manage/interact in any way.
Can anyone help me resolve this or had similar issue? I have browsed the log files located at (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Power BI Report Server\PBIRS\LogFiles) but not found anything obvious. Usually these upgrades are straight forward and we just test for the sake of procedure.
Thanks!
EDIT: Found this in the log after more checking this Morning:

Solved! Go to Solution.
Please disregard. After rolling back to a backup from a few days ago with the September 2024 release installed prior to upgrade, confirmed the same issue was occurring. Reached out to my Security Team about the issue and they quickly diagnosed our server certificate had expired on 2/9 and was no longer valid. Once a new one was generated and installed on the machine, all was good again.
