Power BI Report Server only work with SSAS??

I am doing some testing, but it looks like Power BI Report Server only works with a live connection to SSAS?  Can someone confirm this?

Hey,

in the current release of Power BI Report Server, just SSAS live connections (Tabular and Multidimensioal) are supported if you want to add a Power BI report.

This is stated here

Also stated is that future versions will support additional data sources. To my knowledge there is no ETA for the support of these additional sources.
