Hi all,
I don't know why Report Server API now does not return JSON response. Instead, all of the get API (have not tried POST/DELETE) returns the content of the homepage under HTML content.
For example:
GET http://host/reports/api/v2.0/CatalogItems?%24filter=Name return html content
When I try to connect to Report Server using Desktop (in the same machine installed the Report Server), it says "We couldn't find PowerBI Report Server at this address"
I check the log under PBIRS/LogFiles but could not find anything too obvious. Is there any way to know what's going on?
The REST API is working fine for me
Has someone possibly incorrectly configured the portal and webservice urls? The default is that /Reports is your portal URL and this is the same endpoint that runs the REST API. The webservice API is usually at /ReportService and this API is XML / Webservice based and will return HTML for an invalid request.
