Hi,

We have installed Power BI On-Premise evalution edition to build the infrastrcture and installed SQL Express for that.

After purchasing the licenses for Power BI Report Server (P1), we've receieved the following error.

Do we have to upgrade from SQL Express to a higher edition? If not, do I have to rebuild the database or reinstall?

Solved:

I've Installed Microsoft SQL Enterprise 2017 edition and it fixed the issue.

Microsoft SQL Express 2017.

I'm not sure but try SQL Server Express with Advanced Services first.

I've upgraded to 2019 Express with Advance Services but still the same issue.

Edit: I reinstalled the instance but with no luck as well.
