After gaining access to my newly formatted desktop PC, I downloaded again Power BI, MySQL connector 8.0.16, and an on-premise gateway. Upon connecting to my data hub, I encounter this
Failed to update data source credentials: MySQL: Unable to connect to any of the specified MySQL hosts.

Based on the error message prompt, it was able to rule out that it was not the connector version.
Also, try deleting the credential information in the data source setting and try again.
If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information and let me know immediately. Looking forward to your reply.

I have tried to setup the gateway on a previous laptop I had and it worked! I don't know why these errors emerge once I do the same setup on the desktop.
