I have two two databases one is A and other is B. I want know if iwe can combine the databases in paginated reports like power bi, please help me and Which was is better for Dataset creation in paginated reports - via SQL Query or from Power BI Datasets?
Solved! Go to Solution.
In paginated reports a single query can only go against one data source. So if you have multiple tables in your report and you want one to come from each database then that would work fine. If you want to join across the two databases then a Power BI report would be a better option. Or depending on the data sources you may be able to create a linked server or a view across both databases (if both databases are on the same server)
