Incorrect Connection string for Oracle after saving report from Power BI Desktop to Report Server

Hello!

Correct connection string for oracle source should be "Data Source = <host>", but after saving report from Power BI Desktop to Report Server it looks like <host> (without "Data Source =...").

Why it happens and how i can fix it?

I can't connect to oracle server with incorrect connection string

Hi @ibm0522 ,

Based on your description, please ensure that the Oracle client is properly installed and configured on the machine where the Power BI Report Server is running. Sometimes, connection issues can arise if the Oracle client is not set up correctly or is incompatible with the version of Power BI.

After uploading the report to the Power BI Report Server, try editing the connection string manually to include the necessary "Data Source=" part. This can typically be done in the data source settings within the Power BI Report Server interface.
