I can't refresh in power bi service.. automatically or manually and giving me this error

Since the refresh is failing both automatically and manually, and no specific error message is shown beyond the service metadata, I recommend opening a Microsoft support ticket so they can trace the issue using the Activity and Correlation IDs you’ve shared.

Hi @Mohamedfaisal91 

Please check the below parameters due to which refresh might be failing

1. Data source credentials not set or expired:

  • Go to your Power BI workspace > click the dataset > Settings > under Data source credentials, make sure credentials are entered and valid.

2.Gateway issues (for on-premises data sources):

  • If you're using an on-premises gateway, ensure:

 

  • The gateway is online and updated.

 

  • The dataset is correctly mapped to the gateway.

 

  • The machine running the gateway is online.

3.Timeouts or query failures:

  • If the dataset contains large data or long-running queries, refresh might fail silently or log minimal details.

 

  • Consider reducing the dataset size or optimizing the source queries.

4.Model or schema changes in source:

  • If the structure of the source data has changed (e.g., column names removed or changed), the refresh will fail.
