How to save snapshots of your data to generate trendlines on PBI Report Server

I would like to ask a question regarding snapshot data for Power BI On Prem.

I am having a lot of requirements lately regarding looking back at previously loaded information (to generate trendlines based on quantity deltas)

Is there a way to store the result of a SQL query, attach it a timestamp, and generate a table that contains all the snapshots?

I also have the same need.  I would like to take snapshots of my live data on a specified date (1st of the month etc.)  and create a new row in a table that I can use for trend analysis.  I am out of buzzwords to search for on this topic.
