I have Power BI Report Server running on a remote server. Initially the service was running as a local virtual account, and when I used Power BI Desktop, did a save as, and connected to the Report Server from my workstation, everything worked fine and I was able to save the report.
After changing the Report Server to run as a domain account, when I try to select the same URL for the Report Server to save to, I get "Server is not reachable". I can get to the Report Server webpage with no issue, and can even upload via the page successfully.
Any idea why Desktop would no longer be able to "reach" the same URL now that the service account is different for Report Server?
Bump.. getting a very similar reult on a new Aug 2018 PBIRS install
