Filter works in desktop, but not in report server

hi all,

my filter to exclude/include a ceratin product works in my desktop app, and then sometimes works right when i upload it to the server.

However, after a minute or two, it goes blank and gives me the error below. Any ideas? There is another group of filters above, if that makes any difference.

I have attched a screenshot of the error i get in report server, and the correct way the filter shows in the desktop filter working.pngnot working.png

Hi @Anonymous ,

on which connection is the report builded? (Import, DirectQuery, Live Connection)

Which Report Server Version do you have?

Best,

Kathrin

I have this same problem.

Sept 2019 Desktop

Version 1.6.7206.42072 (September 2019) server.

The report was originally created with an earlier verison of Power BI Desktop.  I opened in 2019 and recreated a couple of the filters and then re-saved and that worked in PowerBI Desktop, but copying up to server yielded a similar problem.

You might need to temporarily make your slicer larger. There should be a link to show more a more detailed error message, but this is currently below the visible area. Once you can get that more detailed information it will hopefully give you enough information to resolve this (or you can post it back here if there is not an obvious solution)
