Direct Query not refreshing

I'm experiencing an issue where the report server is refusing to refresh using direct query to a sql server.

When using the desktop client refreshing pulls through the new data, however when using the report server hitting refresh does absolutely nothing, all of my graphs, tables etc remain the same, it doesn't seem to pull through the new data, eventhough the credentials are exactly the same accross the desktop client and server.

Does anyone know what might be causing this and/or how I can go about fixing it?
