Create Report without Dataset

Hi everyone
i would like to ask if it's possible to create just a report form then import the dataset??
for example:
The dataset is OData on a protected Server. I would liek to create a report using this dataset but i don't want to give the customers my username and password for the server. Therefor i would like to create the report Form, and later the customers using thier username and password to login in the server and load the data in report.

I think this is a no... but you can have just reports in one workspace that references another workspace... 

SO there is no dataset in each workspace... this can get real confusing.  I use a empty dataset for a report as my "app homepage" and I have to have that junk empty dataset.  A report give better graphics control than the app page.
