Hello everyone,
We have a large new customer who uses Sharepoint Server and Power BI Report server. Is it possible to get data from on-premise Sharepoint into on-premise Power BI? And does scheduled refresh work. I would love to hear how this can be achieved.

Hi, @Jasper_Eggink
As far as I know, The data in sharepoint server is stored in the sql server database, then you can connect to the SQL data source in RS desktop to select the corresponding sharepoint server database, and then create reports and upload to PBI report server, then set schedule refresh.

I do not recommend use direct access to content DB under SharePoint (it is unsupported). Please use SharePoint client API or proper PBI connector.
It depends on which data you need pull from SharePoint. If you need access to stored content, like data stored in .xls files stored on SharePoint, use PBI "Web" connector. If you need access to structured data, like sharepoint list, use PBI "SharePoint List" connector.
