ADFS Integration with Powerbi report server issue to make external users access powerbi portal

Hello,

We have powerbi report server installed in "x.local" domain and ADFS server installed in "y.local" and there is no trust between "x.local" and "y.local".

We successfully published the powerbi portal through WAP server that installed in "x.local" and configured successfully with "y.local". please check this documentation https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/report-server/connect-adfs-wap-report-server

When you open the powerbi portal now, it redirects to ADFS and log in with the external "y.local" user, it successfully gets the token but opens a blank page.

Is this scenario supported? to integrate ADFS with Powerbi report server to make external users (external domain) access the powerbi portal?

Please advise!

Thanks in advance.

Hi @fsamy ,

I don't think it will work. if there is no trust between "x.local" and "y.local". In the document, we need to configure constrained delegation  for login. If there is trust between "x.local" and "y.local". The delegation will not work.

I also suggest you refer to the similar post in https://www.pbiusergroup.com/communities/community-home/digestviewer/viewthread?MessageKey=2f6717e9-...
