Hello, We have powerbi report server installed in "x.local" domain and ADFS server installed in "y.local" and there is no trust between "x.local" and "y.local". We successfully published the powerbi portal through WAP server that installed in "x.local" and configured successfully with "y.local". please check this documentation https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/report-server/connect-adfs-wap-report-server When you open the powerbi portal now, it redirects to ADFS and log in with the external "y.local" user, it successfully gets the token but opens a blank page. Is this scenario supported? to integrate ADFS with Powerbi report server to make external users (external domain) access the powerbi portal? Please advise! Thanks in advance.1.1KViews0likes1CommentPower BI Report server through WAP and ADFS
Hi everyone, I just completed the setup for PowerBi mobile app through OAUTH and ADFS using this guide: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/consumer/mobile/mobile-oauth-ssrs While it works pretty well for the mobile app, the web browser aren't able to access the Power BI report server using the same URL. If i setup another URL in the Web Application Proxy it works, but people above my head wants to keep using a single URL as we open the portal for the external access. Is there anyone who succeed to configure AD FS and the WAP to use the same URL with the mobile app and the web browsers clients (chrome, IE) ? Greetings, I have configured Power BI Server + OAuth + ADFS + WAP per https://github.com/MicrosoftDocs/powerbi-docs/blob/live/powerbi-docs/consumer/mobile/mobile-oauth-ssrs.md and https://www.youtube.com/embed/okzPAI2uUek. Using Power BI mobile app on Android and iOS, I can successfully authenticate. However, attempting to render any report just "spins" and if clicking refresh, returns 404. I have seen this error reported in a few other places, including: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Report-Server/PBI-with-ADFS-and-WAP-i-can-authenticate-to-Server-but-all/m-p/367034#M4177 https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Report-Server/PowerBI-Mobile-App-and-Report-Server/m-p/397097 I have tried various combinations of changes to the WAP Application, the ADFS Application Group, and SPNs. When attempting to observe via Fiddler, I see the 404 returned on "GET https://FQDN/powerbi/mobile?manifest=OfflineSupport..." Not sure if that's helpful, or a red herring. I also noticed that there are some differences between the github docs and guyinacube's youtube video re ExternalURL and BackEndServerURL. Some examples include "/reports/" and some do not. I'm wondering if that could be related? Has anyone who has had this issue been successful in resolving? Any guidance greatly appreciated!
