Im trying to creat a simple function via the custom Column function in Power BI,

I have a column with numbers in and I'm basically wanting to say any numbers beginning with 1336 or 1701 return the value as "online" and for everything else return the value "offline",  I can get the function to return the "online" but i am only returning errors where it should be "offline", any ideas

this is my function:-

=if Text.Start([DK Number],4)="1336" or "1701" then "online" else "offline")

Hi @Darren75,

try this instead:
let n =Text.Start([DK Number],4) in if (n="1336" or n= 1701") then "online" else "offline"

I hope this is helpful
