extract text in column

Hello. I have a coulmn that has 4 and 5 characters in various rows.

I want to extract data into a new column; I want the 3rd and 4th characters from the left. In this example, it would be "45",  However my Excel version does not have the Extract option within the Text Column area.

How do I accomplish pulling these characters (like I would if I had the Extract option) in the version I have?

Hi @SArtaz ,

Please try this way:
In Power Query, click "Custom Column":

Use this M code:

Text.Middle([Column1], 2, 2)

And the final output is below:
