When I upload a PowerBI desktop file (connected to a SSAS cube). I can schedule the refresh. BUT the Data Source Credentials option for the data set is blank. I can't set the credentials, so my refresh fails. Why is this blank? It shows the Heading of "Data Source Credentials". But I click the carrot, and there is nothing but blank space.
Was this ever resolved?
Hi all,
I notice a few fresh replies on this issue in the last 24 hours... are you all seeing this where the data source credentials aren't appearing?
I think something must have changed on the BI service... I had a number of datasets connecting to sharepoint file shares and these credentials are suddenly not appearing as of approximately 48 hours when our scheduled data refresh stopped working.
Hopefully MS pickup on the issue immediately.
Regards,
Cody
Has this be solved?
So I did some more testing. The Power BI desktop file and Excel using power query (added to data model) does not show the credentials for auto refresh.
However, an excel file with only the powerpivot data model access (no power query) does show the credentials settings on the scheduled refresh when uploaded to Power BI.
Whe are the credential settings for Power BI desktop files to support scheduled refresh?
I have the same issue, Data Source Credentials is blank!
