Hello Guys,
is it possible to use R in Custom Connector? Should I install R into VS?
I need the functions "HMAC SHA-512" and "Base64" for the Custom Connetor.
Thanks for your support.
warm regards
Anna
Hi all, has someone any news about the topic?
I have just tried to use R script in order to run a bat file and in my opinion it could be very useful in case we can run the R script in a custom connector.
Thanks,
@AnnaAliera,
You are able to use R.Execute() in Power Query script in Power BI. Please review the following examples, test if the examples work in VS.

Piggybacking off this question, I think the topic is still relevant today. Given that R scripts are only compatible with the personal on-premises data gateway, has anyone solved for adding a custom data connector to enable the enterprise gateway to work with R?
