count of records of another table

Hi Team,

I have condition. have 2 tables if Table A has number of records less than 5 then consider Table B all ELSEIF

2 tables if Table A has number of records GREATER than 5 then consider Table B where date is greater than today only.

i need to get RECORD count from another table , rest i have taken care.

please help
