Use Connection Only Queries At Another File

Hey, 

I Have 2 excel files - I Called them A and B.

At File A, I Created 2 queries and selected them as "Connection Only". Now what I want to do, is to connect them through B File.

When I Choose file A at the PowerQuery new sources, I Can see only the sheets and the tables. there is any way to connect those connections?

have you considered trying out migrating the database to a different source other them excel, like Microsoft express erver or MS Access, managing larga datasets and querys on excel have its limitations and performace issues, normally excel to power bi will compress greatly part of the information on the file but not as much it will help your case, you can compare best practiques with things you havent done on the model site to get it optimize same for M queries and Dax formulas but it will have its limitations on performance mainly if using excel as datasource for big data.

no, this is not possible. You can only read the file from sheets, not from add-ons like macro, connections or Power Pivot. But may I ask you what is the goal of this? To have a central query that you can use for multiple datamodel?Why not include the query in file B? You could load the result to a sheet and then load the data.

Yeah I'll explain:

File B has been created to provide some busniess information that been loaded and been transformed from few excel tables (at the same file, file B). One of the tables contains 10,000+ rows and I need to tranform this table to 8 diffrent queries, which make the file heavy, slow and unworkable (38 queries total at one excel file!).

One of my ideas to solve this problem was to take this specific data (10,000+ rows table), to make the 8 queries at seperate file (file A) and connect them to file B WITHOUT first entering file A and REFRESH the queries.

There is any way to deal with heavy query that affect the whole file load?

I still have difficulties to understand what would help to access to queries only from a file. This gives you no advantage on heavy data handling. Read a table from 10.000 rows and transform it with 8 queries is no issue with power query. When you load your data to power pivot the file size is reduced a lot. So I don't really understand where your limit is. When you exactly describe what data source you have and what is your expected outcome I could give you some adivice
