Time for power pivot.

Hi Guys,

I have multiple files that I usually combine in power query, however now I have to add a new time column that has duration minutes in this format.

00:08:13

00:12:25

00:33:10

etc.    

I tried changing the data type to either time, data/time or duration but when I load it to my pivot and change the value field to average it gives me an error "We can't summarize this field with Average because its not a supported calculation for Text data types." but I already changed it using transform, I even changed it in the raw file before loading to power query but it still wont work. If someone can point me to the right direction it would really be appreciated. thank you.

change the field to number.  You can then average the day fractions.
