SumIfs referencing cells excel to Power BI

Hello.

I am trying to replicate an Excel SumIfs formula in Power BI. The excel formula is =SumIfs(Hours Worked,Name Column, A5,Start Date, H5). Where A5 is the name in the corresponding row and H5 is the date in the corresponding row. I need to try and use this in Power BI. The list of names and dates is very long and has many unique values.

Thanks!

Hi @cpatton10 ,

Please try this DAX to create a calculated column:

SumHoursWorked = CALCULATE(
    SUM(WorkData[Hours Worked]),
    FILTER(
        WorkData,
        WorkData[Name Column] = EARLIER(WorkData[Name Column]) && WorkData[Start Date] = EARLIER(WorkData[Start Date])
    )
)

If this DAX doesn't work, please provide a bit of sample data and the calculations you wish to perform.

Best Regards,
Dino Tao
