Hi,
Was wondering if it's possible to connect Power BI desktop to an *.sdf file at all.
Cheers

@willforbes,
We are not able to connect to .sdf file in Power BI Desktop. Please migrate the database from SQL Server compact to SQL Server following the instructions in this blog, then connect to your SQL database using SQL Server connector in Power BI Desktop.
Regards,
Lydia

Thanks Lydia,
Good to know. I'm guessing this feature isn't likely to be supported in the future either?
Thanks again,
Will
Back in the day you could assume that one Microsoft product would work well with another reltated product. Did you stick with Power BI or did you find a different product? I'm not even sure Power BI can work offline, so that might settle things for me.
@willforbes,
You can submit a feature request in the Power BI ideas forum. If the requirement mentioned by customers for many times, the team may consider to add this feature in Power BI Desktop.
