SAP Hana Direct Query Windows Auth

Hi,

I am connecting to SAP Hana and would like to use Direct Query, but Windows Authentication is not supported for Direct Query? Is this feature coming in the near future as without it, it will cause security issues for us.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi @Anonymous,

Based on the video in the following blog, when connecting to SAP Hana database in Power BI Desktop, you are able to use Windows authentication to connect to SAP. What issue do you encounter when connecting to the SAP Hana on DirectQuery mode? Could you please post screenshot about your scenario?

Hi @Anonymous,

I haven't found any official article stating that it doesn't support Winodws authentication in DirectQuery mode. Have you configure the SAP HANA server to support single sign-on? How about using other client tools to connect to SAP HANA with Windows authentication?

Thanks,
Lydia Zhang
