Hello folks,
Ok this has been driving me insane for a few days now. I have created a list in O365 that is connected to a Nintex Workflow.
Im trying to create a dashboard that displays all tasks ongoing but I cannot for the life of me figure out how the tables I have imported to PowerBI are relating to each other.
My Custom List
Workflow Task
Workflow History
I cannot trace a UniqueID/DataID that links the tables and therefore cannot join the queries.
Can anyone help with this?
Thanks
Dave Stuart
Any luck with this?
@DSTUART,
How do you connect to your data source in Power BI Service? Do you want to create relationship between tables using UniqueID/DataID?
Regards,
Lydia
Hi Lydia,
I have used both the Sharepoint Online and OData connectors. Once I have pulled in the table I have also expanded all the other tables to Identify a unique value that I can use to join them. But so far I have not had any luck.
I would like to be able to link all three lists together so I can provide a single clean report.
Dave
@DSTUART,
You can create relationships between tables in Power BI Desktop. One of the tables should contain unique IDs in order to establish relationship. If you have duplicate IDs in each table, you can create a bridge table containing all the possible IDs, then create realtionship using the table and other tables.
Regards,
Lydia
