Refreshing the data source

Hi,

I am working now on a report. the source is an excel sheet. the excel file is saved in my computer. the data was got into Power Bi. after some time, I modified the excel file a little. I tried to refresh the source and it worked but it is transformed as a new table. I did some visuales and measures before refreshing.

Do I need to start again making the measures and update the visulas or they will be updated automatically?

I hope I was clear.

Best Regards

@freevission2019 - Sorry, not clear. If you transformed the data into a new table but your visuals are tied to the old table (what happend to the old table?) then it will probably not work. Sorry, can you be more clear?

Not really enough information to go on, please first check if your issue is a common issue listed here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/Before-You-Post-Read-This/ba-p/1116882

Also, please see this post regarding How to Get Your Question Answered Quickly: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/How-to-Get-Your-Question-Answered-Quickly/ba-p/38490

The most important parts are:
1. Sample data as text, use the table tool in the editing bar
2. Expected output from sample data
3. Explanation in words of how to get from 1. to 2.
