Reference table keeps rounding numbers

Hello,

I have a referenced table that contains an age column.

In the Source table the age column is decimal example: 49,9, While in the referenced table column Age shows 50.

I have checked all data types still not working and ofcourse I tried to add decimals yet didnt work.

In PQ view, the column is decimiled normally but when I load its rounded up

Any Idea ?

Hello,

Thanks for the reply, I have figured it out.

It shows that when I load data from the PQ, automatically its rounding it up because I didn't set data type as Decimal in PQ before loading.

Hi @Anonymous

After you loaded the data, select the referenced table in Data view of Power BI Desktop, then select the Age column and click on Column tools tab. Make sure that its Data type is Decimal number, its Format is Decimal number too and the number of decimal is not 0.

Do you have it set as an integer in Power BI? Can you provide a sample PBIX? I am not sure exactly the issue here. You are talking about a refrenced table, then a loaded table, so doesn't seem you are 100% in Power Query but also the data model, but your question isn't clear to me.

DAX is for Analysis. Power Query is for Data Modeling
