Query editor question removing applied steps

Hi.

If I duplicate colum and I want to filter new colum to clean and replace values more easily. Can I safely remove that filter step afterwards because I have applied many steps after that.

You can remove the column but not the step.

So is there any good idea how to clean and replace hunreds of "bad values" meaning that those replaced has no easy logic because most values are writen tekst.
