Place them on a file share where the Power BI service can see them. Ideally a SharePoint document library.

The only thing I could find is a commercial offering by CData, seemingly using an intermediary SQL server database.

Maybe your LDAP tool offers a regular extract that you can consume instead?

Thank you for your response.

Even I can produce data files, how can I source them from Unix machine to PowerBI services?

Place them on a file share where the Power BI service can see them. Ideally a SharePoint document library.

Why do you think the data travelling to cdata servers and stored in their database in order to get them on PowerBI is acceptable solution for this 'simple' task?

I did not say that is acceptable. I only mentioned that this is the only (commercial) solution I am aware of. I would never do that in our environment.

As for "simple"  - I guess we have different opinions on what constitutes "simple".
