PowerBI, Azure SQL Database, Azure Active Directory Authenication

I'd like to be able to do the following:

From PowerBI desktop, authenticate to Azure SQL Database using Azure Active Directory Authentication

I understand this is not currently possible.  Is this on a timeline?

Unfortunately, there is no official blog or article that states if the above feature is on a timeline . However, an idea about updating the SQL Azure connector to use Azure Active Directory Authentication has been submitted in the following link, please vote it to help Power BI team prioritize this feature .
