Good afternoon,
I am using the logic below to create a new table in PBI.
let
Source = Sql.Database("scsanalyticsreporting.cbb8550b3a59.database.windows.net",
"Analytics", [Query ="SELECT DISTINCT [Load Number]
,[RSD Reason Code]
,[RDD Reason Code]
FROM TMLEX.LEX_Manual_RC
LEFT JOIN [TMLEX].[LEX_Reason_Code].[Reason Description] = [RDD Reason Code] --where archive_flg = 'N'"])
in
Source
However, I keep getting this syntax error everytime I try to update and establish a connection to SQL server. Any help in fixing this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Refer to some sql syntax handbooks if you're not familiar with LEFT JOIN,
SELECT table1.column1, table2.column2...
FROM table1
LEFT JOIN table2
ON table1.common_field = table2.common_field;
Thanks to the great efforts by MS engineers to simplify syntax of DAX! Most beginners are SUCCESSFULLY MISLED to think that they could easily master DAX; but it turns out that the intricacy of the most frequently used RANKX() is still way beyond their comprehension! |
DAX is simple, but NOT EASY! |
