Power Query File Not Updating in Power BI Service

I have a power query excel file on SharePoint that was published to Power BI, whenever the power query file is updated it doesn't update in Power BI.

Where have you kept the modification of the power query excel file,local or sharepoint?Have you updated the file first on sharepoint?

How do you connect the file?Directly from Service?Or first from desktop then publish to Service?

Not totally clear on your scenario but FYI you can keep your Excel file on SharePoint and make a simple Flow in Power Automate triggered when your Excel is modified/refreshed that then triggers refresh of your Power BI dataset to get the new data.
