Power BI show Issue status history | Compare last week and current week status.

I use Power-BI to track Recruitment Status. It uses SharePoint List as a data source. I use PowerBI desktop to manually refresh the data and post the new updates.

Now Here is my question.

I want to show recruitment's progress beteween last week and current week.

My ideal scenario is here.

Lets they that last week, the total recruitment in shortlisting stage was 10, and the total recruitment in the interview stage was 20.

Now , let's say that each has increased by 5 on this week. I want to show on the bar chart like this:

Shortlist (last week =10, current week =15), Interview(last week 20, this week =25).

is there a means to show such a thing? Ideally, I expect a Variable(measure) that stores last week's data(let's say the Item's Last Monday Status ). I also expect this measure not to vanish (unless a condition is true) every time there is a data refresh.

If there is another better way I am also delighted to learn.

Thanks in advance for your support

Hi, @yohannes_adeba ;

Sorry I don't understand very well. If the above one can't help you get the desired result, please provide some sample data in your tables (exclude sensitive data) with Text format and your expected result with backend logic and special examples. It is better if you can share a simplified pbix file. You can refer the following link to upload the file to the community. Thank you.

Hi, @yohannes_adeba ;

You only create a column as follow:

WEEK = IF(YEAR([Date])=YEAR(TODAY()),
         IF( WEEKNUM([Date],2)=WEEKNUM(TODAY(),2),"Current week",
         IF( WEEKNUM([Date],2)=WEEKNUM(TODAY(),2)-1,"Last week")))

Then add a clustered column.

Dear Yalan Wu. While saying many thanks for the response, Please let me know if my issue is not clear or if I may have misunderstood you.  Now I'm able to see "Current Week "statistics along with the choice details but I'm not seeing "Last week" statistics. Is it because I've created the Week column today? the Formula I used for the date column is simply Date = Today.  I would be delighted to know the interpretationyour formula

Many Thanks for the swift response. In my case both the status(Shortlist and Interview) are a choice from a drop-down column named 'Recruitment Stage'. is there a workaround for this? It is for this each choice I'm looking to show history of past and current week.

the real column looks like this.
