Power BI connectivity to folder

Hi,

I have a folder contains 3 csv files.

I need to provide connection to the folder. So the reports in the folder automatically added as data source.

Every month old reports are deleted and created with same file name.

How can I acheive this.

Thanks.

Hi @rsivasankar ,

When you use the folder connector, the files in the folad will be saved as binary files in power query initially, you need to expand them manually.

If the files in the folder have been updated, just refresh the folder in power query to get the latest data of files.

The best way is to stick those files in a SharePoint Online folder. Then connect to that folder and do the work.

If you must put it on a local hard drive that is not sync'd to SharePoint, or a network drive, you will have to create a connection to that folder via an on-prem gateway. It is a real pain and tedious to set up network drives on a gateway. I highly recommend the SharePoint Folder route.
