Power BI Embedded - Data Refresh

Hello,

we have created an embedded power bi report with analytical D365 F&O workspace. The report uses a custom aggregate measurement, which we've put in the entity store. I need a clarification on the report data refresh.  Embedded power BI reports use direct query, which means that they are updated in near real-time. Does the report data get updated automatically or does the data refresh rate need to be set from D365 F&O entity store page? Thanks for any help.

Direct Query means the data is never refreshed.  The data is not even stored in the Dataset itself (temporary caching aside).  Direct Query means that the calls to the source are made at the time the report is run.
