I've seen some other responses here on how to get your onedrive files into power BI, i've tried this, and i can see my onedrive folder, but it is empty when I view it in Power Query. The only thing in my folder iwhen i view on web is a link to a folder that was shared with me.
in short, a folder was shared with me that has 12-15 excel files in it, and i want to combine all these excel files in power query.
but when i access my own one drive using a sharepoitn connector i don't see this linked folder in my drive, and if i try to access that users drive i cannot see anything (presumably because I am not that user). What i'm trying to avoid is having to link to each sheet separately, and build a query that will combine all sheets as new sheets are added to the folder over time.
is there any known work around to get multiple files into a single query out of a shared folder in onedrive? I know i can download the files and reupload them to my onedrive, but i want live versions that will update back from the originals that are shared with me.
Hi @ChadPBI
If you want to get the files in onedrive, you can only copy the Path of the files, then select get data from web and input the path, you can refer to the following link.
Use OneDrive for work or school links in Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
It is better to move the files to Sharepoint, then you can get data from sharepoint folder. you can refer to the following link.
