It is my first time trying power query and I can't seem to extract data inside the box, where our team enters data:
Showing Null when I change the type to number - was initially text and changed in based on google reco. Will appreciate if someone help me with this:

It may depend on the structure of your web.
If the structure is a open-box web which is provided for user to enter any data, perhaps the data would not be loaded in Power Query.
When you use the web connector to connect to the web source, you can check whether there are valid tables in the Navigation page before you import them into Power Query:
