No added applied steps

When I "Get Data" there are some Applied Steps added for the Source and usually the Navigator for specifying the source and table/sheet/etc.  BUT the Power Query Editor also automaticaly adds:

  • Promoted Headers
  • Changed Types

Is it possible to stop those automatic steps from being added?  Yes, I know I can delete them, but can I set the PQE to not add them?

Hey @WillBeeSEA ,

Try turning off Detect column types and headers for unstructured sources found under Data Load in options:
