Hi,
I am attempting to add a new column with the syntax NewDate =IF(ISBLANK([#"Backlog[Ship Date]"]), [#"Delivery Date[Delivery Date]"], [#"Backlog[Ship Date]"])
It shows no syntax error from secreen below, but when i click on Ok button, i got the error for 'IF' isn't recognized. Please assist?
Hi @hongho2
You should do it like this:
NewDate = each if[#"Backlog[Ship Date]"]=null then [#"Delivery Date[Delivery Date]"] else [#"Backlog[Ship Date]"]
Hi @hongho2 ,
You're trying to use DAX code in Power Query, which works on M code. It's also not so easy to reference across different tables (queries) as it is in DAX using relationships.
I would recommend using the code you're attempting within a DAX Measure in Desktop as it will be significantly more efficient than recreating the relationship behaviour within Power Query.
