Multilayer Allocation

Hi everyone,

I have this current allocation by mutiple parameter issue at currently cant work out the idea to make this work. Give a bit background currently im doing a monthly allocation from backend business unit (non revenue generating function) back to all location based on their budgeted revenue. The problem is, for the backend unit have specific allocation rule and depending of what type of backed unit, it will need go to the same Account Type yet allocated to different location.

Ive prepared a datasets to showcase this.

1) Budget Data - where cost get allocation based on monthly budgeted revenue.

  A.PNG

2) Allocation Rule - where backend are allocated based on type

B.PNG

3 ) Cost - where the actual is coming from.

The final will result will actually remove the backend from the cost view and all backend cost are actually allocated to location based on the monthly revenue apportion.

Example  - in march we have backend 1 rent amount of $137. And based on the rule, backend 1 will need to be allocated across location A and B. Based on the budget, for Mar, the total of budgeted revenue is $81, thus the apportion is 24.6% ($19.99) for A and 75.3% ($60.9) for be to be allocation in the Rent Type. Meaning in Mar, Location A will received $19.99 extra for rent and Location be will received $60.9 extra for rent.

Is there any pointers? Appreciate this. I also have included the pbi for easier reference.

Example Allocation

Hi @Anonymous ,

Seems like not certain what is your expected output based on the description.

"in march we have backend 1 rent amount of $137. And based on the rule, backend 1 will need to be allocated across location A and B."

Did you want the amount of backend 1 minus A and B total and output the result or anything else?

Whether consider combine the two tables in the post to provide the expected output.
