Does anyone know if you can report on Microsoft CRM Online audit data in power bi?
I have had no luck with this. The way audit history is stored in CRM is unintelligible as far as I can tell. The way it looks to me, it appears that every time a record is saved, all the changes in that save are encoded somehow and saved in a single block of code. The column with the changes just contains a block of numeric values that don't map to anything I can access. So an arbitrary number of fields' changes are saved as a single row in a single column in a format that is unreadable. Basically all I can do with audit history is tell you when a record was changed and who changed it, but I can't tell you what the changes were.
All of this is why my CRM team is building several custom change history entities for me now.
