Keep points when running get data

Hi,

When I run Get Data from Excel online, numbers that have decimals with "." (point), delete the point.

How can I solve this problem?

I am not clear about your requirement, if you remove the "point", the value will change. If possible could you please inform me more detailed information(such as your expected output and your sample data)? Then I will help you more correctly.

Can you clarify what you are seeing @XaviOV ? Excel Online doesn't have a Get Data function. And spreadsheets generated or edited in Excel Online are just XLSX files, nothing unique about them.

And when you say the decimal is removed, is 123.45 becoming 123 or 12345?

I cannot really tell what you are referring to here @XaviOV - I don't know which is the before or after image. You can post images in this forum using the Camera icon. Please use that and describe what each image is.

And what do you mean "upload to power bi?" Is this in the service, or when importing via Power BI Desktop? Please let us know the exact steps you are going through to get the results you are seeing.

This is the Excel file (local), and the numbers contain "." decimals.

This is when I upload the Excel file into Power BI, you can look that the "point" are disappear.

Hi @XaviOV , 

I think this should be related to your language. When you load the Excel in powerbi, this will convert type to numberic type and your language will use "."  as thousand separator, ","  as demical separator. so it ("." )will disappear. You could view to my image(I use English(US) language, I have the opposite situation ) 

 You could try to change type like below to see whether it work or not

Are you sure those are numbers? They are left-aligned, and that usually means it is text.

Can you show what it looks like in Power Query once you hit Transform, and the M code that is being generated (Advanced Editor) for the query. I really want to see the "Changed Type" step.

Is it switching it to Whole Number versus Decimal Number? Check your Change Type steps.
